Unrealistic

Movie was seriously unrealistic. Everyone around this family was dying. New to the area it would seem they would be the first to be taken down. Two adults and even one person would be challenged to survive but with two young children? Regardless, it is an edge of the seat adventure that is worth watching.

Newsflash its a movie. And a good one

why offensive?

Do I really have to say? This movie is purposely trying to slam southeast asians as blood thirsty animals. My wife is Cambodian, and I have been there quite a few times, and it is nothing like this.

Okay, that comment is just flat out ignorant and offensive! Seriously? You are bringing up something that happened decades ago, something that Cambodia has learned from. People like you make Americans look bad by slamming other people's countries, given the fact that America has had a bloody history itself. You know nothing about Cambodia, or it's people, and posting links about the bad things that have happened is insulting to my wife and all the people of Cambodia you arrogant @$$!

Your comment is dirty, despicable, ignorant, and self righteous. Reminding others of the negatives of their homeland is direspectful. There was a mass shooting in Orlando FL recently. Does this mean that I should not visit the US? Your comment was truly uncalled for, and there is no reason to link someone's negative historical background. While I myself have never been to Cambodia, I am certain that the country has changed in recent years. Many nations have learned from their mistakes. Take Germany for example. You have no intelligence.

Very offensive indeed.

I never got the feeling they were going for realism. It was simple entertainment.

The family is shown as pretty lucky to even just survive the first hour of the attack on the hotel. But if you want more evidence to argue that this movie is unrealistic, Phnom Penh is 100 km from the Cambodia-Vietnam border, not 100 yards.

reply

Unless it's a documentary or biopic, why would you walk into a movie expecting realism? That's like going to Disneyland and complaining about it being unrealistic. Movies (works of fiction) are made for you to escape reality, not stay in it.

reply

So what's realism? They die in the first 15 minutes? *beep* *beep* movie then, eh?

reply

Yeah but its still enjoyable.
