Snipping with a hand gun

Major plot hole with the combat scene where Hammond gets shot... there is no way he can shoot and kill someone at that range with a hand gun not forgetting the rebel was using a machine gun - again highly unlikely it would it a target at that distance.

Was such a hollywood moment when Hammond appears out of nowhere to save the day momentarily...

I thought it showed him as a very good shot

I guess if they showed him firing a gun in New York and killing a guy in Beijing, you would think he was a REALLY good shot?

reply

Probably. That's not what the term "plothole" is for though.

reply

True. Just an example of suspension of disbelief. Like pretty much the entire movie.

James Bond, that's why it's possible :)

I love it, LMAO! Ofcourse you can! If you can manage to manipulate any known handgun
to serve as shears, boXcutter, knife, or any other "snipping" tool- you're already
a wizard manipulating solid state physics. Snipping is a process that separates a piece of material into two pieces along a plane. Although some of the total work expended to make the cut actually does go into breaking chemical bonds (covalent, metallic, ionic, van-waals etc.) across the plane.
