The little girl swimming alone

Definitely a no -no. I liked the movie, but this part bothered me. Was not sure how old the girl was, but she did seem relatively young, too young to be swimming in a pool without adult supervision. The mother did state that she did not let the girl go, that the girl was being trouble, but that is when, as a parent, you pull out a can of whoop-@ss and forbid it. She could have drowned.

"Duh. You're the idiot. Not me."

The mom didn't know about it, I think. Only her sister.

So when he got to her in the pool and they were about to be killed, you think he should have stopped to discipline her?

Honey listen, there are some guys with machetes that are about to hack us to pieces, but before we escape I want to talk to you about the dangers of swimming without supervision.

She's probably 10-12 yrs old in the film. I live in Florida and my 9 yr old daughter can swim whenever she wants, as she has been swimming since 3 yrs old. So to decisively say she shouldn't be swimming alone is inaccurate , maybe where you're from ppl don't swim

She didn't defiantly storm off, she snuck out. The mother didn't know she was gone, and obviously there was no staff on hand because of the emergency.
