Clown A "tame" horror film ????

Hey

I have been reading some user reviews and other reviews that indicate the film is more or less much safer than it appears. That is actually surprising to me, as the trailer makes it's look unbelievably dark and nasty.

There were also some gory moments in trailer alone, but I guess just wanting some SPOILER free opinions from those who have seen it.

Again, violence is so subjective for horror fans anyways. I guess I was just wondering if that was one of the film's huge flaws, it's lack of balls? Because from the trailer it looks to have major ones.

Just finished watching it. Was better than I expected but nothing out of the ordinary really. A lot of cut away death scenes as far as the violence goes.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I found it pretty damn nasty. They don't show a lot, but I think anything involving kids in movies is pretty horrific. There's some gore but the idea more so of what's happening is not tame at all in my opinion.

They kill kids in this movie... if that's not ballsy, I don't know what is. That doesn't even happen in some of the most extreme horror films I know.

Guessing you haven't seen many horror movies then. A better movie with killing kids by killer clown is of course It by Stephen King. Other movies that tried to be good by shock value (killing kids/pets/etc.) are the Amityville horror movies. Clown isn't a bad movie, but it's not a very good one either.

I've actually seen quite a few and It only kills one kid, it's off screen and never really shown. I can really only think off are Beware Children at Play, A Serbian Film and maybe Halloween 4 or 5 (I forget which one, it's been a while) that took the step to kill a kid on screen. This movie killed kids on screen and pretty brutally I might add. Most of the time though those that are killed are teenagers and if a kid pops on screen, they're in peril but never really killed, and if they are it's off screen. It's an average horror movie though, just average with some pretty big brass balls
