anyone seen this yet? opinions?
curious to hear what people thought of this one.
shareGreetings! Just saw it tonight. While not very scary, it is quite well made and it does a couple of creepy scenes and a few hideous moments, it could have been better but it certainly is not the worst film.
sharea waste of time, very bad movie
shareFirst off, the concept is very cool and original. It's not just about a killer clown. The reasoning behind the fathers transformation has a pretty cool origin. Also, all of the characters are extremely likable and from the start you are very engaged as to where this film is going to go. I enjoy body horror and loved this movie. I also loved the movie Tusk. However, the characters in Tusk were extremely unlikable. Wallace was a dick, the best friend and girlfriend were having an affair, and Howard was a psychopath who lured people into his house to amputate their limbs and turn them into a walrus! The only decent character from Tusk is Guy LaPointe. Quite the opposite in Clown, however.
Once you realize what is happening and what the outcome can possibly be for Kent, you can turn away. You HAVE to see what happens by the end of this film. At least that's how I felt. This is a very well made film where the shot choices and lighting techniques really build intensity and help with scare tactics. An excellent little horror film.
I do about a four minute review on my YouTube channel that you can check out here if you want!

Its a pretty good horror film pretty refreshing to see a movie that isn't the old haunted house routine which these days is very over used. The movie has a cool concept as the guy mentioned above with there been a bit of a back story of the origins of the clown costume they could delve a little deeeper maybe in a possible sequel. The film uses some cool effects for the clown especially towards the end when the guys in full transformation also has some creepy imagery. Overall definitely worth a watch.
