different trailer on popcorntime than actual movie. wtf

So, after watching the trailer on popcorntime i started the movie, also on popcorntime. The story is basically the same but its two completely different movies with different casts. Can someone clear this up for me?

That's the original fake trailer that was ultimately made into the real movie which does have an entirely new cast.
