Does anyone wanna see a sequel?

Maybe it's just me, but I feel like the movie didn't tell the whole story about the demon. I wanna know how this demon became a costume and how he became a demon in the first place, maybe he started off as a follower of Satan or something. And I would also like to see someone find a way to destroy him (the costume).

I would like to see a sequel maybe explore the origins of the demon and hopefully a slightly increased budget would go along way. I am doubtful though the studio seemed to have no faith in the project with it getting a dtv release, its a shame the film was a breath of fresh hair when you think how many haunted house movies are produced yearly sighhhhhh.

I'd rather a sequel to "Stitches".

reply

I just watched Stitches. How the fu*k could you want a sequel to some mentally retarded piece o' sh*t like that??? A fu*king egg that keeps a clown alive.

reply

Who said I wanted it, you f.d.c

The egg thing is inspired by real clown lore - each professional clown registers their makeup, like a trademark, by having it painted on an egg-shell. As far as I know, 'though, these are not stored in a crypt but no word yet on whether they grant demonic immortality...

I kind of thought about this and quite possible for a reason it exists, is that what if, long ago a jester, who happened to love children (not saying a pedo but, possibly) did wrong to a witch? So she cursed him by turning him into a demon, and he had to kill and consume 10 children or the demon would take him over, the curse was never completed and he was captured, or beheaded himself, and all that was left was the clown suit. It was taken by the witch, with the curse in his clown suit, which she kept with her as a keepsake which she could have used it on people who wronged her in the future. She dies, maybe even hunt for witchcraft and the suit disappears, until its found by Karlsson.

*inhales*

Or, you know, because demons are supposedly evil bastards and like making the lives of humans Hell. lol That's just my personal theory though.

My understanding is that the suit is the flayed skin of the demon (which is why it has a scaly pattern like snake-skin) but I couldn't work out the nose and wig - shouldn't it have been a mask?

So your saying the skin of the demon was only like a part of the demon? And the real demon with no skin is some where else??? I honestly don't know why I never thought of that!!! I thought the demon itself was transformed into a costume.

reply

My understanding was that, having killed the demon, whoever killed it took the skin as a kind of trophy but didn't realise that anyone putting it on would become the demon. Heck, perhaps they took the skin and had it made into a suit to show off, a bit like having a fur coat made from the wolf or bear you killed? Perhaps the demon-slayer was actually the first to fall victim to the "curse" - that could make an interesting story! :D
