Scary or just me ? Spoilers.

Ive looked at most the message boards and I'm surprised to see not many people found this scary. Now I have a huge phobia about kids bieng killed. Or worse eaten alive. I dont know I just find it hard to watch and cringe everytime. Even though we never see the kids being eaten the cries of their pain and distress was enough to get me covering my ears and squeezing my eyes shut. Ive never really been scared of clowns but this has defo changed my opinion on them. Many sleepless nights and irrational fears for me because of this movie. Anyone agree or is just me?

I've only seen the movie once but I still have nightmares about the Chuck E Cheese scene. It takes A LOT to scare me or even give me nightmares but this film lingers even months after. Every time I try to watch it again and take a little of the edge away but I can't do it again lol.

That's awesome that the movie had that kind of effect on you. But I thought the movie was totally lame. Some of the dialogue was literally LOL material. Many scene's in the movie had me saying "yeah right". I thought it was horrible and gave it two stars. I'm not sure how anybody found this movie scary. One ridiculous scene was; in the Chuck E Cheese. So what, as soon as a boy got killed in the play tubes the power in the entire place goes out and flashing emergency lights go on automatically? Then the police come but don't block any exits? Just stupid stuff like this was annoying. Glad I didn't pay to see it though. And I don't know how Roth has some ridiculous moniker like "Master of Horror". All his movies/stories suck. I see he signed on to direct "MEG". Movie based on the book about a Megalodon(sp?) shark. Should be a complete & total flop-a-rama.

I see what you mean, the movie itself I didn't mind the storyline was intriguing. A good idea but I too noticed some scenes that were like "erm ok hows that work out?" Some silly scenes and dialogue so I see where your coming from but Like I said the only thing that got to me was that the children were the victims. It was very disturbing to me and I don't think I'll watch it again for that very reason because I couldn't handle listening to their suffering. Fake or not. Lol.

it was a creative idea/good story; on paper. I can't say much for the execution, though. special effects were decent. I can't quite put my finger on what was missing. not enough time was spent getting to know the main character, though. at some point in the film, I forgot what he originally looked like. I also forgot that the female co-lead was pregnant.

I thought it was pretty scary too, the clowns transformation was really creepy, not to mention the voice, very demonic. I also began to hate the mom, I couldn't believe she was willing to sacrifice a child yet protect her own, really hated her and was hoping the clown would kill her. Very few movies kill off children, so I think that's why it so disturbing and scary as well, the little boy at the hotel was so sweet and innocent, bothered me when he got killed. ..
