Jesus this looks terrible

When the dude comes in with an axe, that did it....BWAHAHAHAHA! It says Horror/Thriller. Looks like a comedy, mates.

reply

Mainly, that's because the director is a Guillermo del toro/Alex de la Iglesia look-a-like/wannabe who's never done horror before, only a few comedies. When he did his first movie, that brat was bragging about it for at least three years. And when they filmed in my city (Valparaiso), he was a real jerk with the locals. On the other hand, Eli Roth was a really cool guy.

reply

Really? Eli Roth is the reason why Horror is now pure gore. And he wanted it that way. López's movies may not be groundbreaking, but at least they can work as homages (mainly PROMEDIO ROJO).

reply

Jesus Christ watched this movie too? Cool.
Yo Jesus!! Wassup!!!

Uh pretty sure the seven or however many Saw movies are why horror is lots and lots of gore now. Roth capitalized on it sure, but he isn't the sole reason.

reply

After the release of CABIN FEVER, he said that he made it because he wanted horror movies to not be afraid of blood. A year later, they made SAW, and then he made HOSTEL, and the rest is history.

reply

You truly are a fvcking moron if you think one man brought down a whole genre because of his style. You need to watch more genre flicks if you truly think all horror is pure gore.

reply

I didn't say all horror is pure gore. Nor that it was all because of Roth. He started it as a new fad, and other directors took note about it and increased it. There have still been and still are non-bloody horror movies, though.

reply

You kidding? Looks fkcing intense!
