Are there any twists and how does it end?
Any answers would be much appreciated!

If you really want to know:
SPOILERS
Near the end Monica, Kylie, and the firefighter are the only survivors left. They've taken refuge in a tunnel underneath a church. While Monica is separated from the others, Kylie realizes that the firefighter is actually another escaped convict. Since she has a broken leg, she's too weak to defend herself. The firefighter drags her away. By the time Monica catches up to them, she finds that Kylie has been killed. She fights the firefighter and eventually kills him. Monica makes it out of the tunnel and finds that it leads to a beach. As she collapses on the beach, she looks to the ocean and sees that a tsunami is forming. The film ends with the tsunami hitting the beach, presumably killing Monica.
In short, everyone dies.
Thanks. I was mildly curious about the film but the plot information around the web was scant. Now I don't have to bother seeing it.
It's a shame that the pinnacle of Eli Roth's career was a fake trailer stuffed between two other movies. I thought he showed promise early on, even if his films have always divided horror fans. Now he doesn't even seem to be trying to rise above SyFy level stuff.

Thx for posting this. I'm watching it but getting ancey and wanted to know thy ending. Not sure why I got ancey, it usually doesn't happen to meduring movies, and I love horror flicks of all kinds. (maybe it was the rape scenes that got me, that's one thing I just can't stomach. Pretty much the only thing! I just wanted to kill those animals) I also had a feeling about the firefighter. He seemed inherently selfish and our for himself.
One question though - just being an inmate doesn't necessarily mean you're a raving rapist murderer. (as our huge percentage of prisonersin the states can aattest to) So why does he kill the girl? He helps the girl get the thing out of her leg, and is pretty much helpful throughout the movie. She sees he's an inmate and suddenly he had to kill her because she sees his tattoos? He was helping her in earnest, and seemingly helping the group. Was he planning on trying to steal the girls away and then raping them or something? That doesn't make sense because he would have and could have done it much earlier in the story.
He even looks sad for having to kill her, so it obviously wasn't his plans to start.
I get it that he didn't want to go back to prison, but he could have easily escaped from them before they would have had the chance to really turn him in anywhere. (after all, the whole area is in shambles, and its about to get worse with a tsunami on the way. It would take a long time for them to sort out the survivors and all that)
It seems like a plot contrivance tossed in without a lot of thought - it would have made a lot more sense if he led them to other prisoners and had nefarious thoughts all along.
It seems like a
