Based on true events my a$$
The mediocre Nicolás López states that this movie was based on true events that happened during the Chilean earthquake in 2010, more specifically in the city of Valparaíso, where I live.
Just to be clear, nothing of the events depicted in the film happened or came close to it. Valparaíso only suffered a minor structural damage in a few buildings, but that's it. And considering the shape of the city bay, there's no way that a tsunami can happen, at least in this part of the country.
López should stop trying to be like Alex De La Iglesia (really, the guy's even copying De la Iglesia's look) and go back to his first works, which were way funnier.
