Wasn't THAT bad but a couple things I couldn't stand...

Eli Roth giving up the girls - Seriously?? You are at the mercy of the worst kind of scum and you just believe they will let you go once they are allowed to rape the girls you told you would protect??? I just hate characters that do this, because it's completley nonsensical to give them up. You are already dead, and in fact, your BEST chance is to stick to your story no matter what! But hey, why not kill yourself AND the girls?? What a POS!

The turn on the Fireman - Yeah, huge post dedicated to this, so I won't beat a dead horse, but he had so many opportunities to kill everyone, if that's what he wanted to do, or just run off. You can;t make him a protector, only to have him be a cold blooded, thoughtless killer two seconds later. It just doesn;t work in a narrative flow of his actions.

Aside from those things, I thought it was ok, was nice to see a bit of mayhem , R rated style in a disaster movie, and the horror of being trapped in a country you do not know, in a situation like that,. SO the story and situation were awesoem, it just wasn't executed that great for me. SO it gets a 5 out of 5, because the actual "disaster" portion of the movie was a bit lackluster.

What say you?

In Eli's characters case, fear does things to people, man. It's unfortunate what he did, but when you're staring death in the face, you don't know what you'll do or what kind of decisions you would make in the moment.

I understand that but I still see it as illogical when he was in a lose-lose situation. It's easy to say I would be the hero, I get that, but I can honestly say in this scenario, I would easily, because when you are at the mercy of irrational people, there is no saving yourself, and he should have known that. In fact, He made THAT choice when he told them to hide, so him being a gutless POS just p'ed me off, ya know?? Great, instead of "taking the bullet", you'd rather kill all three of you! Smart man!

Yeah, I get where you coming from too and you're right about that too.

Action Junkie let's try dropping a large piece of concrete on you then when you are pinned down and bleeding internally we will have some fat Chillean guy sit on the pillar as well, then we'll see how rational you sound.

You cannot possibly say you know how you'd act in that situation because you have no idea how you would.
