The show is 100% about MAKING FUN of douche bag hipsters and yups who absolutely deserve to be made fun of. Nothing more nothing less. It's a great premise to a show IMO.

"Always Sunny" isn't about WASPs - All of the main characters are Irish Catholic heritage. It's basically Seinfeld with Irish Americans instead of Jewish Americans.
shareI can't watch too much Portlandia because almost all of Carrie and Fred's characters are douchebags and so it's hard for me to be invested in the show. For me, Portlandia is like a good SNL sketch that kept on going to the point of no return.
