shareFair enough, but you've started a thread entitled "Utter tripe", but not followed it up with reasons why you think that! That's probably the reason why people haven't given an actual reply about the series. Just tripe, kidneys and the like. With all respect, starting threads with nothing to go on in the first post seems a bit pointless.
Not tried tripe, though offal and kidneys are all right by me. These foods were probably more popular in the '50s, so there's a tenuous connection.

Definitely a misfire from the Beeb. A shame as well, especially after the success of 'The Shadow Line' and 'United'. Both great dramas.
It has a strong cast and the subject matter should be interesting, but something is definitely missing. All the ingredients don't come together. I predict only one season for this series.
I think they should give it another chance - but definitely take into consideration all the things that are clearly wrong with series 1. It has such potential, it's a shame it has fallen short.
