like this? I am extremely intrigued by this programme and think this would make a great novel. I was just wondering if there are any books or even TV programmes that are like this? Revolving around Journalists?
In real life Guy Burgess, one of the notorious Cambridge spies of the last century worked, at one time, for the BBC as producer of a political programme called "This week in Westminster" and the most infamous of that group of traitors, Kim Philby was a sometime correspondent for both The Economist and The Spectator.
Sounds a bit like Clarence and Lix/ Freddie. Just sayin'.
You would probably enjoy Broadcast News (1987), a film with Holly Hunter, William Hurt and Albert Brooks. Old school journalism versus the superficial. Great acting and the newsroom atmosphere is a lot more concincing than The Hour.
