Why is he callow? Lix, who I like a lot, more or less seduced him and made it clear she wanted a fling with him. And that's what is was for him. Lix knows Freddie is in love with Bel. Nobody talked about forever.
I'll never understand people who are up for one-night-stands and then act angry or disappointed when the other person simply leaves the next morning. If you want a quick shag don't cry if that is all you get.
