Anna Chancellor and Peter Capaldi

Just finished watching season 2 and was really blown away by how amazing these two actors are. I love Peter from The Thick of It and I wasn't sure how I would cope with seeing him in such a different role. I mean it's hard not to imagine Malcolm Tucker when you see him but he plays Randal so well. I think Anna is one of those actors who has gotten better with age. I think when she was younger people didn't know what to do with her because she wasn't the 'girl next door' type but now that she's older she is so much more interesting and she's getting these great roles that really show off how amazing she is. One suspects her real life personality is similar to Lix.

I agree whole-heartedly. These two were stellar in their very moving story arc. It's such a shame there will be no season three. I would have been curious to witness the development of their relationship.

And Anna Chancellor has always blown me away in anything she's been in, starting with her Miss Bingley in the one-and-only Pride & Prejudice (1995).

I didn't love her as Miss Bingley (my favorite Miss Bingley is from P&P80), but I did think she was good as Duckface.

Love them....I could have watch a whole movie on just these 2 searching for their daughter and all that would have went with that.....so much good stuff with that story line....actors great. Love Anna Chancellor...I need to see more of her stuff.
