Doesn't it seem as though half the show is recapping what happened before the commercial break? Seriously, there's as much filler as actual content. I don't think we need a complete recap every time we come back to the show. The producers must think the audience is a bunch of ADHD six year olds.

I was watching several episodes in a row yesterday for some reason, and noticed this as well. Most of the similar shows do the constant recaps too. I've determined that if you tune in to the last 5 minutes or so of this show, you can get a very good idea of what happened throughout the entire episode. Plus you get to see the "decision" to love it or list it. Five minutes of watching versus sitting through an hour of clueless homeowners, scripted drama, and endless recaps of issues that were recapped a few times previously, is much more realistic for me.
Besides, when push comes to shove, I do like to see the before and after transformation of the home. That's really the part that is interesting to me. Not all the other bull. And that all happens at the very end.
That is why it is such a good show to watch while doing other things. It is a show I like on in the background. However, when I do sit to just watch - which I also do - the it can be annoying.
The only good thing about it is that if you've recorded the show to watch later, when you're fast-forwarding through the commercial breaks you don't have to be precise about stopping it it the right moment. If you run over a bit you won't miss anything new.
