shareYeah, I think that was a little on-the-nose. Pacino's character is meant to be an analogue of ageing singers like Neil Diamond, but giving him a blatant "we dare you to sue us" version of "Sweet Caroline" was a step too far.
It's also disrespectful to the audience, who should be trusted to work this out without a massive honking musical cue.
