SIGH just another day at the office for AL

I thought who cares about the Lennon letter
I thought the character Al portrayed was a stupid character... Like a Davy Jones but huge RIP Davy
The story line of the son with the sickness typical.

Nicholson retired at the right time then to be in stupid crap like this. It was done by Universal Pacino gotta bigger bucks...

Nothing unusual about the film it was..... ok

In a way the film could be about Pacino's career which started around the same time and here is in 2015 struggling to make great movies when he was young... That I can dig.

So basically you're saying Bucket List wasn't stupid crap? This was definitely better then Bucket List which is a movie that should have made Nicholson retire, instead he did 2 even worse movies afterward. Pacino is doing ok since there really aren't a lot of great roles out there for actors his age that don't seem to involve having a long gray beard while playing a wizard in a sci-fi movie.

Actors don't "make great movies" they can only do great work in movies and it's hard to imagine anyone doing more with this material than Pacino did.

YDK Jack, Phil Spector, Danny Collins, The Humbling, Merchant of Venice on Broadway - all of those are interesting or good or better than good performances at the ages of 70-75. No one in American film at that age still brings it the way he does when he's on his game. None of his peers from the 70s certainly. Do you disagree? If so, how so?

As for the comments about Nicholson, those seem very odd to me. You're advocating an artist to stop working rather than continue to create Art? That's kind of absurd - you can't really mean that..........doing nothing is more admirable than creating?

For sure Al's best days are behind him and good scripts are hard to come by now that he has gone older. BHis best stuff seems to be for tv these days.

Its that man again!!

Well, again what actor who is 75 is having their best days now, or ever? I do agree the 3 HBO films gave him meaty stuff though, yes that's true.

Anyway, just curious, have you seen all of his 2015 comeback films? This article may be of interest/curiousity if you have or haven't:
