The U.S. has been to the moon six freaking times. We haven't gone back since the seventies because there is nothing there. This entire logline is ridiculous.

The whole tagline hinges on the premise of the movie, which is that there was a secret mission because they found something. To all you that say "Oh yeah, we didn't go back since the 70s because ", we had already been there or because there were budget cuts"...are absolutely right. However, this is a HORROR movie...it is exploring the premise that we were lied to. You're using logic to argue a fictional scenario. Bad idea, you're all missing the point.

That said, its not a very good movie, It didn't take me a long time to figure out the rocks were 'monsters'. I'm also amazed at the success of 'found footage' films to this day, 12 years since the Blair Witch Project...at least back then it was believable that the camera angles were possible. Cameras in films like this seem to be in perfect position all the time.

I don't think this movie is based on true events. I'm sure some people believe it though.
