what the F was that,multiple personality syndrome or incest or what???

about multiple personality i am severly sick of the topic,have seen countless films making hype of horror films and suddenly opens with MPS(multiple personality syndrome) aka *beep* don't get have the directors left with this ONE AND ONLY topic or is too mouth watering that another director also thinks,ok buddy every director has done his work on this topic,why i am to be left aside,let me fiddle with it too.

or was it some sort of incest that director didn't want to show full details.

and what were in those pictures that they were both hiding it always?????

She had a multiple personality. Her father molested her and both he & the uncle took child pornography photos of her.
Those are what she found in the box.

I enjoyed the movie but I have low expectations for horror movies

There is a theory that some molestation victims splinter off into different personalities to deal with their trauma. The young woman in the film obviously hadn't dealt with the trauma of her childhood; hence, the holes in her memory.

Sophie was her strong personality. The aspect of herself that could remember and fight back. Sarah appeared a weak and vulnerable person. When the dad started taking photos of the mold, the flash renewed her memories of her dad taking photos of her as a child. The photos in the box are of her being molested. My guess is that she internalized a lot of rage against her father and uncle that Sarah, the vulnerable character, couldn't face.
