Assuming that the abuse would've occurred in the state of New York, where the filming took place....there is no statute of limitations on sexual rape & sexual abuse of a minor, so it wouldn't have been too late to have them arrested.
(As for the real story taking place in Uruguay in the 1940's.....I can't say about prosecuting there in Uruguay, as I am not familiar with the statues of limitations)
I agree with both of you & say kill Dad at least, since her Father had no intentions of stopping the mental, sexual & physical abuse of her. She'd likely get off with a defense of temporary insanity or something in that line. I mention insanity, only cause she was hallucinating & was prone to mental blackouts in regards to her memory.
Regarding the Uncle, I'm not sure about killing him. Not only did he show some remorse, but also attempted to protect her from being whipped by Dad. Most importantly, her Uncle could definitely be used as a witness in her defense, against her Father...with of course the ever present threat that she would let the authorities & everyone else know that her Uncle had participated also, should he choose not to cooperate & assist in her defense. The photos would've been her evidence against both of them.

I thought her uncle wanted to bang her from the first scene...'you're so grown up now' he says as he stares at her for ages
