Was when the dad arrived and said he went on her Facebook. I don't think he logged into her account to see any private messages. He sad he checked his email and then went on her FB to view her page and saw an ex boyfriend posted on her wall. That right there made me think he was obsessive and creepy but she made it sound like nothing.

I think that's something every movie has to do. They need to come up with a way to explain why they can't call for help. Battery dies, no reception, lost or stolen phone or of there is a budget for it, set the film pre 1990s.

Th truth is, even if you have a cell phone, you have no guarantee whether you will get reception or not----especially if you're way out in an isolated area---that's how it is in real life,so that not just a well-worn plot device.
shareNot to mention the fact that even if you do call out, the cops don't even have to respond to your call. Look it up, there's been several court rulings on this. They have no obligation to provide protection to individuals whatsoever.

For me a red flag was when the girl and her uncle were alone and he said something like "I can't believe how you've grown" or something like that and she looked really uncomfortable.
shareI don't know if that was a red flag, but it was creepy. But, later, from what he says, the father did most of the abuse, and if that's true, that's way beyond creepy.
