Their speech immediately reminded me of "The GILMORE GIRLS"

did anyone else get "The Gilmore Girls" vibe based on their speech?

The way they'd speak so fast & finish each others' sentences reminded me of "The Gilmore Girls." LOL

I agree.

It was just goofy because who in real life talks like that? No one.

I dislike any film or book where characters talk like this. It's all, "Oh, listen to how witty I am."

I wanted to like this movie but except for the violence it seemed like something for tweeners.

Definitely. It was distracting and made me not like them as a couple. It was like they were in two separate movies spliced together. I was very relieved towards the end that she didn't get more lines. It was getting on my nerves.

Mine too! It was initially funny, but it was WAY OVERDONE, so I was glad when they just her doing actions and NOT speaking. LOL

That was just over the top.

I'm sure it was an ode to "The Gilmore Girls" because I've NEVER heard 2 people speak that way on any other movie or tv show. LOL

"The Gilmore Girls"

God dammit I'm old.
Their dialogue had me thinking of noir films, new and old, and highly stylized nineties films.

Then again, I've never watched Gilmore Girls.
