Before I Go to Sleep with Nicole Kidman so far has been the only movie I have seen that has got it right! (* I think this was mentioned in The Call w/ Halle Berry also)

I'm referring to the scene when Odd realized the location of the deaths and he had to act on his "gift" so he could save the town.

The immediate way to call for help or to call attention to yourself for 911 is to PULL THE FIRE ALARM!!! *REAL LIFE*

If he stopped what he was doing to make a phone call or look around for an alarm the truck would have blown up 10 seconds sooner. Sorry, I don't know how to write in orange.

He was trying to be the hero that entire scene in the mall! He had Plenty of time to pull an alarm! He was scared those things found him out. While he was playing Sherlock!

My point was mainly for RL reference. (unless you are faced with a bomb filled van!)

He could have fired a few rounds in the middle of the mall and cleared everyone out in two minutes.
