Just rewatched, hadn't seen since theaters, and just watched it on Paramount+. I'm in the habit of having subtitles on. These can help with some interesting finds. Dialogue that's so faint you might not ever notice it without subtitles.

Two, both in the opening scene.

1. When we're first going into the restaurant, someone says something to a "Jason" that they're addressing. The first killer we meet is Jason. Makes me think he started out inside the restaurant, watching Laura. And probably a place he was a regular at and someone addressed him. Stupid. But makes the most sense for that being there.

2. When Laura is outside, she passes a group of guys and a subtitle reads something to the effect of "Reggie laughing." Maybe not laughing, but Reggie something. Why assign a name to such a background part? Unless there had been a larger plan?

Lastly, and not related to subtitles, which is why it's not numbered. When Jason is back at his apartment and is on the phone with Ghostface, thinking it's Greg, he says "You know who's next." Well clearly we never see that since they get killed. And while we know both groups were targeting the Carpenter sisters, that's really all we have. So I wonder what Jason and Greg's plan would've looked like. Guessing they didn't plan to involve Kirby, or Detective Bailey. Quite probably not Dr. Stone and almost definitely none of the bodega guys. Probably not Quinn's lover. Maybe not Brooks. Would've been solely about the Core Four and their new friend group, and probably Gale. Would've been different.
