shareAFter the utter dissappointment of Halloween Ends I am very nervous to watch this
shareI too had no real interest, until recently that is;
- I didn't care for Scream 5 when I first watched it.
- Killing off Dewey, Neve Campbell dropping out and taking place in New York instead of Woodsboro means this is very much uncharted territory for the franchise. Naturally I'm apprehensive going in.
They've reeled me back in due to most people stating this is an improvement over 5, with many claiming it's the best in the franchise since the original and the fact I rewatched Scream 5 last night and enjoyed it more than my first viewing.
I'm looking forward to watching it later tonight.
You will have to let me know how it is
shareI enjoyed it. It's roughly on the same level as Scream 3, 4 & 5.
Tier 1;
Scream (1996)
Tier 2;
Scream 2 (1997)
Tier 3;
Scream VI (2023)
Scream (2022)
Scream 4 (2011)
Scream 3 (2000)
Thanks I will likely watch it sometime soon
shareI agree with your rankings. I watched Scream 6 last night. It had a few good scenes but also a few where I cringed a bit(where they basically copy earlier films) . I love the Scream series but the special charm is just gone. I’m no longer really interested in trying to find out who the killers are and they keep introducing sillier plot devices . I get that it’s 2023 and 5 sequels in so hard to stay fresh but it just underwhelms me now
shareAdmittedly, I've never been a fan of the Halloween franchise, and skipped the last two Halloween films.
I've always loved the Scream franchise, and I'd say that this is a decent installment. I have a *few* issues with the end [no spoilers] but the ride was very enjoyable, and those issues didn't hurt my overall enjoyment. It also features one of the best opening sequences in the franchise (certainly since the first three Scream films at least).
