Stallone vs Van Damme scene!?

How do you rate from 1(lame) to 10(total awesomeness) in comparisons with other movie fights Stallone has had over the years?

I rate it like 9 because it would had been a 10, 20 years ago!

I rate it 6. Thought it was average at best and that's being generous for Van Damme's awesome kick. Stallone has had much better fights with Snipes in Demolition Man and even Bullet to the head had a better fight scene.

Thought it was too one-sided. Van Damme should have got some more kicks and punches in before Stallone would do a Rocky style comeback.

I agree, a 6 is good enough. I felt the fight was too short and Van Dam needed more Hits in. Bring on EX3 :D

I definitely was disappointed in the final fight scene. I was like "that's it?" I thought it was going to be great with Van Damme's kicks, but it changed quickly. Statham's final fight was better than Stallone's.

6/10

It was a good solid 10 from me and everyone complains 'oh it should of been a martial artist against Van Damme like Lundgren or Jet Li' Stallone is a brawler who was capable of kicking Van Dammes ass. Its like Mel Gibson vs Jet Li in Lethal Weapon 4, that was a bad ass fight. Its better when two different fighters with different fighting abilities battle it out, its more interesting to see. We've seen Lundgren fight Van Damme enough times now anyway. Besides it was more personal when Stallone fought Van Damme in the film since he was the closest to Liam Hemsworth when he was killed in cold blood.

The buildup towards the fight was awesome but the fight itself was a letdown. A 6 is about right since it was entertaining but way too short & one sided. Stallone saying this fight will be "one for the ages" is completely laughable. Maybe for him it was one for the ages, since he got to whip Van Dammes' ass in a completely one sided fight. A missed opportunity.

I'd rate it a 9. I must have seen the fight differently then most. Sure Stallone landed more punches but Van Damme was hitting harder and that definitely counts for a lot. In fact Van Damme looked to be far more fresh then Sly until he made the classic movie villain mistake...he went for the knife! As soon as he picked it up I knew the fight was over, as it always is when the villain does that lol.
Still a good fight, Van Dammes finesse vs Slys brawler style was a nice contrast.

I'd give it a 9 too, I'd give it a 10 if Van Damme got a few more punches in but I agree, when he went for the knife, I knew it was over for him there.

A 3! I am a big, big fan of sly and JCVD too, but the fight was weak, very quick and with no tension.

Overall i very disliked this film (and its hard for me to say) but when the match was about to start i was like "ok, this is it, this is the moment when everything will be justified" but it was not.

I think Stallone completely wasted JCVD talent, like one of the post here said, it did not give me the idea that it was martial arts against a powerful brawler, which, in theory, it sounded A-mazing.

Whoever coordinated or wrote the fight, knew very little about action/martial arts/film, just when the fight couldn't get any more boring, it finished with no epic ending. In my opinion JCVD was very, very wasted. It seemed to easy for Sly to beat the crap out of JCVD.

I was expecting so much more from this film. But it was a cliche after a cliche after a cliche. Very silly, almost childish.

Anyway, I am disappointed with this film, I really think Sly underestimate his fans, and I am glad it wasn't a blockbuster. It should have flopped. Making millions with so many poor ideas (after seeing what he was capable of) its unfair. They should try harder. Even Dolph looked like an idiot. Nuff said.

Me? I always tell the truth, even when I lie.

5. Very disappointing, but a couple good moments. Simon West effs up any action scene he puts in a movie.

The craziest thing about that fight is that's the BEEFED UP version. I don't even really want to know what it was like before Van Damme stepped in and added some elements. I'm pretty much in the same boat as others who are rating it a 6. Solid choreography, but too short and too one sided. Statham and Adkins was too. Scott got wasted in this movie. All the stuff he can do and they just gave a brief glimpse. Then again, Gary Daniels only got a little bit of shine in the first as well. It seems like Stallone and Statham just get to shred their opponents.
