Van Damme's sunglasses

In the final fight scene, Van Damme chucks everything: the rifle, the pistol, the big shiny knife. And then he carefully folded up his ugly sunglasses and steps back so he can reach the table, and place them carefully on the table.

What gives? It would've made more sense and given a better flow if he had just chucked them as well. What brand are they? They must be extremely expensive for this guy who apparently doesn't give a crap about anything else to treat them so nicely.

reply

He didn't want to break them. Besides, they posed no danger lying around.

reply

that's the whole point, he didn't mind breaking everything else by just tossing them behind his shoulder, but why do these ugly ass shades deserve such special treatment? He took 5 seconds folding them and slowly put them down on the table. Do they cost like 15K or something tsss?

reply

Because he wanted to kill Barney and then walk out of that room like a boss... wearing those cool shades.

Those things break easy dude. They break faster than that other stuff.

The guy cares about style, bro.

reply

The glasses were not expendable.

reply

Only thing I don't like about that answer is that you beat me to it.

reply

You win, sir.

reply

I guess he didn't break them to put them back on in case he won

I hope Stallone put the sunglasses back on him when he stuffed his head in the bag.

Now that would have been funny if Barney showed Church his head with the sunglasses on

LOL, that would been so messed up and it would've made Willis' comment about it even funnier.

Hell - I think he should've put them back on to cover the ugly on his face.

WTF happened to Jean Claude's face - they look like bug-eyes on crack.
