Filming Locations?

Does somebody know if the abandoned Soviet training base used in Expendables 2 is real? Or was it created for the movie? And if real, if somebody knows the location?

The NY street set was also used in Spiders (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1659216/combined) and maybe some other movies.

Last night I watched the movie for first time. I was annoyed how they said that they're in Russia but all 'russians' acturally spoke bulgarian
