Possible directors for Expendables 4:

Sylvestor Stallone-He made the first one and he did the Rambo movies
Simon West-He did the second one and he did Con-Air
Mel Gibson-He was supposed to do the third one
John McTiernan-He is THE 80's action director with movies such as Predator, Die hard, Die Hard with a Vengeance and Last Action Hero.
Shane Black-Sure, say what you will about Iron Man 3 but he has written some 80's classics such as Predator, Lethal Weapon and Last Action Hero.

Ang Lee-He did Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon I'm sure he can do this. lol.
Quentin Tarantino-Pays homages to genres. He'll do great here.
Robert Rodriguez-Natural for 80's action after Machete.
