Stop playing halfway through and sold it back to Gamestop
...and bought God of War III again.
L.A. Noire got very repetitive and boring.

Your loss... while I agree with the repetitiveness, I found it to be a very intriguing and unique game, albeit a little slower paced than most.
its very repetitive and very boring, more so than any other slow burning game I've played before. I can only think people who enjoyed this must have been blown away by the hype and the motion capture.
shareNot really, I found it very exciting and not that repetitive, cant really think of anything that felt repetitive.
shareLOL! What game were you guys playing? LA Noire was certainly not repetitive. Or what do you mean with repetitive anyway? If LA Noire is repetitive, doesn't that make most games repetitive in a way? This game had far more variation than most shooters I've played.
Also, the story was simply just brilliant. You did a huge mistake by quitting half way through. The story really opens up towards the end and it will give you the chills.
Trust me, giving up on LA Noire was one of the biggest mistakes you've ever made.

I gave up on it and have had no regrets. There's always youtube.

ALL games are repetitive by the very nature of what they are.
However, LA Noire is one of the most absorbing and well crafted games ever made...it's almost 'art'.
Of course others play it with the 'me make big violence...good' attitude.
People 'get bored' of it as it's not GTA/RDR...and it was never meant to be either.
It's a 'new' gameplay style and genre and I can't wait to see what developers do next with this idea.
But I will say this.
I notice people are playing this 'wrong'.
They try to play through the whole game in one go instead of savouring it.
Personally I found it a much better playing experience when I treated the game like a TV show.
You watch a 30/60 min TV show, you have to wait till next week to see what happens.
This is how I played LA Noire. I'd play one case, then wait. Min 2 days before I started the next. I even waited 1 week a few times. It added to the overall feeling of the game, it playes out like a 1940's serial.

Bingo J McClane, I think that's an awesome way to look at it. Though I have to admit I did get somewhat bored with the game, I think you nailed it on the head with the idea of having to 'savour' it.
