Doubt that. L.A. Noire has been getting loads of advertising and attention. More than RDR.

And I don't really want to compare the two games as they're really quite different. I loved RDR (It's one of my favorite games), but I have a feeling LAN might have a chance at becoming a favorite, as well. The acting looks incredible, and the blend of multiple gameplay elements seems very exciting. It's going to have all the things I love in a game: Enticing story, good acting, memorable characters, action, puzzles, and content.

I sure hope so. I'm not saying RDR was bad, but it was definitely overrated, as I assume this game will be. Hopefully the story will be interesting and the gameplay wont resemble GTA too much. With the exception of Manhunt and Red Dead Revolver almost all of Rockstars games have been GTA gameplay with a different setting pasted in the background. I really hope L.A. Noire turns out well.

RDR was GTA gameplay lol. I loved it but it was basically GTA in the wild west.

Just because its being well advertised dosnt mean its going to outsell RDR. And its definitely not going to outsell GTA4 20 million copies. The only thing LA Noire got going for it is the Motion Scan. Overall its really not that great of a game.

its not even the same style or creators! its like saying "is this game gonna be better than black ops"

it is better than black ops.

agreed lol ;)

L.a noire is a bit dull, the shoot outs are lame, and the interrogations are not very interesting after the first few times you do it. Red dead redemption had the western thing, the big open spaces, fields lots of things to do, much more satisfying game.

I like Red Dead Redemption more.

no one will remember la noir after 2011.
i mean, what's to remember?

I very much enjoyed LA Noire, and really had an appreciation for its atmosphere and the courage it took Team Bondi to make a different type of game, without relying too much on shooting or action. I don't think it's perfect, especially from the point of Phelps' random affair towards the end where the perspective randomly switches to Kelso's. Not to mention, the technology used for the motion capture was (obviously) groundbreaking.

I still think that RDR is a better game, though.

Where I live there were Red Dead Redemption trailers in almost every commercial. It's what persueded me to get the game.

Theres nothing wrong with Noire, but RDR is one of the all time greats. Marston is possibly the most complex character in the history of Video Games.

The two games are WAY to different to compare.

Different game play style and mechanics, different development team, diffetent genres, etc.

LA Noire is excellent, and one of my favourite games of 2011. A very impressive, enjoyable game.

But RDR wins for me. It's one of my favourite games of all time. More freedom to roam about, a more tight story (I like LA Noire's story, but it does feel maybe a little rushed in the last act), beautiful graphics. RDR is a masterpiece.
