HOLY CRAP!! The Serial Killer portion is absolutely OUTSTANDING!!

Just finished "The Quarter Moon Murders" ,I was holding my urine throughout. This has to be the most nerve-racking hour in my videogaming history. More tension-filled than playing the final hours of Ninja Gaiden. It's intruiging what this game makes of the Black Dahlia killer.

I would love a sequel set in the 70's with the police in pursuit of the Zodiac Killer.

I'm almost unhealthily addicted to this game and just can't stop playing it.

Ditto on the setting. I called for a 1969-71 San Fransisco setting with the Zodiac as the backdrop. You'll already have the muscle cars around and the radio can be playing The Who or Led Zeppelin, while you're driving around San Fran.

I loved the Quarter moon murders case. It was so cinematic with the setting, characters and the chilling music. It made you think in a fun way and it seemed you where calling the shots and was starring in the movie. I think the vice cases will be a little dissapointing now due to a less interesting plot and chemistry with the partner.

HELL YES!! BRING IT ON, ROCKSTAR!!

HELL YES!! BRING IT ON, TEAM BONDI! Fits better.
Since Rockstar doesnt make games this boring.

reply

Nah, Rockstar makes yawn-inducing games like GTA and Bully. At least they got Red Dead right.
TRON: Tough as nails, yet smooth as silk.

I, too, would love to see a neo-noir game set in the 1970s. The cars and soundtrack would be amazing! The game would have a real "Dirty Harry" feeling.

the serial killer murders did nothing for me at all,no tension just a lame shoot-out at the end too,no interview or anything. sort of reminded me of max payne but without the suspense, atomosphere, interesting plot.

It would have been cooler if we actually got to investigate the Black Dahlia crime scene.

I've not finished LA Noire yet (I just got to the Arson desk) but I am really enjoying the game. It's a fantastic, story-based novella which is like watching a great TV miniseries like Mad Men or something. The Homicide arc indeed was great. I was on the edge of my seat. This game is a big leap forward for interactive entertainment. This game, and Red Dead, are stunning.

I'd enjoy a sequel set in the early 70s, too, like the Zodiac killings. It would have that gritty, exploitation, Dirty Harry feel to it.

Hell, yes. Really enjoyed the game but, having some experience as a professional games writer, I reckon I could have done a bit better with the interrogation.

reply

Agreed, that case is what made me fall in love officially with the game.

I'm also addicted. On the Vice desk now, maybe about halfway through or so. I'll be sad to have it end!!

reply

I agree that was the most enjoyable part of the game. After getting promoted to Vice I thought it went a bit downhill.

I find homicide to be way more exciting and intriguing than corruption or drug cases.
