I recently bought this game for pc and it won't even open. Tried installing it 3 times, tried every possible suggestion on every possible forum and it just doesn't work. the game will not run. I click launch game the computer gives the "busy" signal and then just stops and nothing happens. Total disappointment. Was looking forward to playing but now I'm just going to have to take the game back and get a refund. Never buying a rockstar game again.
shareOr you could fix your computer/OS instead of blaming the program.
Besides: if you'd contact Rockstar's support instead of complaining on a movie database forum you might actually get help that could lead to making it work.

Firstly there's nothing wrong with my computer/OS.
I have contacted rockstar support, and take 2 support, no reply. I have spent hours trying to 'tweak' both the game and my computer to get it to work, read all forums, tried everything game still doesn't work. I'm not the only one to have this problem. It is not a flaw with my computer it is a flaw with their product.
I made this post so that if anybody was on here and thinking of buying the game they would be warned of this problem.

I can only say that I have no problem whatsoever with L.A. Noire. Right now I'm at the last case of the third campaign/desk of four (Vice/The Naked City) and haven't encountered a single bug or problem in 19 hours of playing time.
I got it via Steam, I don't know wether or not the the retail version is any different (copy protection etc.).
