5/10: For story. Basically a very predictable mob story. The only spin is that killing is just a business - America is a business - therefore it is down right patriotic to kill for profit - and f-ck the hypocrite Obama for saying otherwise
9/10: For style. Great looking film. Fantastic music selection.

I really like this film because it has a tight story. It doesn't try to tell some grandiose tale(like scarface, god father, goodfellas, casino, road to perdition, etc), but instead a rather small time mob dispute with lots of intricacies. There is nothing wrong with larger stories, I just really like this change of pace.
As for the political metaphors and parallels; I felt like the ultimate message behind that was less a specific political message and more "all of politics is *beep* don't even bother.", which I agree with.
