Season 5 not starting until 2017?
So the show will be off the air for over a year? I read that on Wikipedia and was kinda dumbfounded.

I will hope that that will be enough time for the writers to come up with some halfway bearable storyline by then.
shareThe whole season is already filmed.
shareWhy then will it be shown only in 2017?

Sounds weird. Are they afraid that Trump is going to target them for having a show with Latina characters in it who are not rapists?
shareMy theory is that Freeform is more interested in getting their new and select old shows going and don't want to have to wait to finish SAB to use that time slot. Now that they're no longer ABC Family they want to hook in viewers as quickly as possible. So they're going to wait until their newer and more popular shows are on hiatus and basically use SAB for that in-between filler time.
Personally, I'm not impressed with the decisions I've seen from Freeform so far. After The Fosters ends I think I'll be done with this channel.
What the hell is a Stiles?
Me I was kind of done with ABC Family (now Freeform) when they canceled Lincoln Heights back in 2009. The only reason why ABC Family/Freeform is on my TV radar is because of Switched At Birth.
Lincoln Heights and Switched At Birth are the best shows ABC Family/Freeform ever had and the network gave both shows 5 years or less and then showed them the door.
I was never into The Fosters but it seems like it's a good show from previews and such I've seen over the years.
Anyways, when Switched At Birth is gone in mid-Spring 2017 I am 150 percent done with ABC Family/Freeform.

Just found this out. I was looking at the schedule confused thinking I missed something. I knew I hadn't seen any episodes. That's a long time for a show not to come back on.
shareLizzy Weiss has tweeted that it is not her decision and no one is more frustrated or devastated by it than she is. Freeform (aka ABC Family) decided to give "Switched at Birth" the shaft.
If this is the case, then what are the chances that Netflix could pick it up? One can only hope, right?
