I'm about halfway through the first season. Daphne is just really bugging me. She is all up in Bay's life, but doesn't want to share her mother with Bay? She's also pissed that Bay wants to get to know her biological father.
Why is it okay for her to hang around, getting to know her bio family, but she expects Bay to not get to do the same?
It gets worse.

shareTrue. But Bay still has the right to get to know him if she chooses. And what about everything else? She gets pissy anytime Bay speaks to anyone from her life. Emmett, Regina, etc. She even told Regina that she doesn't want to share her with Bay. Yet Bay is supposed to share her whole family with her?

shareYeah Daphne always seems to take one step forward and two steps back in terms of likability to me. I think part of it is that the show sort of puts Daphne on a pedestal- She is the goody-goody, responsible one, while Bay appears more "flawed" and isn't the daughter that falls in line. Because everyone around Daphne acts like she's this perfect person, it makes it stand out more when she does things that are selfish and inconsiderate.
