Abort.

Abort.

Do you mean that you should abort, if you ever find yourself in that situation, and therefore, you believe that whatever is right for you is right for other people, too?

Or do you mean that you have analyzed Lily's character, and there is something specific about her personality, that makes you feel she should abort?

I think she preffer career instead of taking care of a child. Have to admit, later on that seems to change. Although i hoped when she got thw baby in the hospital they would say they didnt move to london.

I don't think she should have aborted but I don't like her character..she breaks up with Toby cuz she has feelings for another guy then BOOM she gets pregnant and comes crawling back..like they got back together so did her feelings for this other guy just disappear? Makes no sense..you shouldn't be with someone JUST cuz their pregnant.
When I first heard of the pregnancy storyline I thought it would be bay..and the issue would be is it emmetts or tanks baby. But no..it had to be someone who has no relevance to the show.

You 100% nailed it.

It's weird, too. The showrunner (and the other writers) seem to think that fans all love Lily, because, for some reason, they do. But the writers haven't done the work to make us love her. They haven't given us any reason to care about the character. She seems cold. In fact, we barely know her, and what we do know of her is unattractive. Nothing the writers have done fosters a connection to the character.

Sure, the actor who plays Lily seems nice, but that's not enough. The whole Down syndrome storyline is shallow, and that's a shame. It should be one that is filled with depth. We should be able to connect with Toby and his joy and grief, but Toby, who I loved in Season 1, was not enough of a focus in later seasons for me to care about this sudden pregnancy he experienced.

The pregnancy was just thrown at two characters we barely know, and fans were supposed to accept this new baby as the crown jewel of the show. It's not.
