Agreed. I've wanted to see this movie for a long time and I finally rented it the other night and...it was very disappointing. It wasn't at all what I thought it was going to be. In my opinion, it's a fairly tale love story about two selfish hipsters who would rather coo, or make cutesy photo albums, or stare lovingly at one another instead of actually sticking in there to make their relationship work! Or in Jacob's case: "I'm sorry, Anna. I'm just too busy making wooden chairs that all look EXACTLY THE SAME to bother sticking around for the sake of our marriage"....???

That just cracked me up. I thought the same thing.

Also the fact that the chair he made for her in the beginning was the first chair he had ever made. Really? So your dream while going to college is to design furniture but it took you until senior year of college to actually build the most basic designed chair ever.
