beautiful movie
I thought this was one of the most beautiful and honest movies I have ever seen. I think people who don't get this movie have never been in love before - a love that has obstacles. This movie spoke right to my heart. I was in a long distance relationship from No Ca to So Ca and even then, being in the same state, we couldn't make it work. This is real life. There are obstacles. When he says "I feel like I'm not a part of your life, that I'm just visiting." THat's how I felt. We were so in love but we lead different lives. Living a part, your lives grow farther and farther a part even as you fall more madly in love. It's hard to just pick up and go. There are families, jobs, finances involved - especially when the relationship is new. You are given a few months together and then have to part.
This script is beautiful, the acting is amazing, all of the looks and glances at each other, the simple way of meeting and then your life changing, the dating other people but dropping everything when the one you truly love calls or texts..you can never get past them.
Even at the end, when you're finally face to face with the end result, you've grown so much a part that all you're left with are the memories. You're basically strangers and have to try to get it back to where it was..maybe it's gone..maybe it's too late..there was too much time in between..that's up to us to decide what happened in this case..whether they got it back or not.
I think this movie captures it all more beautifully than most of anything else. Like Crazy is definitely one of my favorites - Anna and Jacob have amazing chemistry.
