Jake Sully and his family have to adapt to a hostile environment. The moment they succeed evil humans arrive to blow everything up. Jake and his new eco-friends win there I just saved you 2 hours of your life.

Anyway, I'm 100% sure that Quaritch will at one point fight alongside Sully, only to sacrifice and redeem himself at a crucial moment, maybe to save Spider or Sully's kids.
Quaritch becomes friends with the fire tribe of Navi, he really feels joy and kind of home. His son also joins him. They are raiding Sullys new hideout, but the family can get away. During the attack, Sully spills the beans and the tribe find out that Quaritch is actually a human. He gets nearly killed, but his son can rescue him. He brings the half dead Quaritch to Sully, a lot of drama, but of course the family helps him in the end. Quaritch recovers and finally redeem/sacrifice himself to get his son and the Sully family into safety.
shareThe Ash Clan are a rough people because they live in a rough environment. But they can't/don't leave because there is something special there that can't/don't want to survive without. The bad humans learn of this and want it. Maybe they already tried, which is what caused the Ash Clan and their territory to be the way they are now. Jake is initially hated but naturally becomes New Alpha. One of his children falls in love with an Ash Clan, and a child dies, while another achieves a milestone on the way to adulthood. There is more mystery about Sigourney 2.0
