This is a sin!

There are many fantastic books.
And there are a few which are not fantastic but enchanting.

"The little Prince" is some kind of story which MAY NOT be converted into film.

This book is pure magic and can only end in pure crap.

Please don't release "The little Prince", it's some kind of blasphemy. :-(

Melodramatic much?

It was already done on film once. Did the world end? No.

It will be fine. Even if it's terrible, it does nothing to sully the book- so why does it matter?

reply

Just had the chance to watch it, and I have to tell you, they found the way to do it. And it works PERFECTLY.
Give it a chance, I assure you: it's not what it looks like. The trailer is SO MISLEADING. 😉

reply

In what way was the trailer misleading? I didn't get that impression when I watched the movie.

You are soooo right.

and

This mooviee is soooo wrong.

I saw the film, and let me be honest with you - it's one of the best animated films I've seen in a long time. It is a truly magical and enchanting film to behold.

It captures that desire for pure imagination and wonder that most people get out of reading the book; actually, that was the point of the film.

To anyone that's crying fowl over the film not being entirely the book, you're all failing to realize the film is not meant to be a direct retelling of the tale but the essence of what it felt like to read it for the first time.

The Little Prince is told in your perspective, the reader, and the kind of magic you felt reading it for the first time.

reply

It was such a beautiful movie! Had me sobbing at the end though.
