I cannot see this picture because......
It's not because it's PETA It's not because of it might be a bad flick or anything with the director.
My last dog, Lucy died last yr--tax day 4/15/16. Lucy was a beagle--ate like a horse, howled when she barked and stole food when you weren't looking (at least she complimented my cooking by going crazy at my chicken and Christmas cookies) When we got Lucy from the pound (after the death of my last dog, a Bichon named Fred) She was a scared, shy little thing -- afraid of thunder and strangers. In a month or so, she found her strength and became a typical dog who loved to play, very much a cuddler at night and when you were sick, she would lay across your feet. She never had a mean bone in her body and was sweet to everyone.
I grew up having dogs all my life. I can say each one was as different personality as night and day. Even cats I noticed have distinct personalities. Their purpose seemed always to give us love and strength when life becomes tough. I have always my dogs to thank for really being there when I was at my lowest. And I guess returning their love, helps them to bear the unbearable.
Just a quick note, Lucy started having fits (snapping at air, flaying her body on the ground and becoming disoriented, losing her bowels) She was diagnosed with a brain tumor--I made the decision to put her down after the Vet said there was no hope and she would be in pain. My mother shortly died from Alzeimers a few months later. I never told her of the death because she loved Lucy and it may have broken her heart. If she asked where Lucy was, I'd tell her she was sleeping. Since then, I found it hard to adopt another dog---But don't worry---give me time---I plan too.
