Two unpopular queer high school students start a fight club to have sex before graduation.

That is the actual plot summary from IMDB. No joke.

The most ridiculous thing about it is that if they're both gay, why don't they just finger each other off and call it a day? It's the most ridiculous thing.

Typically when it's about two virgin guys, who obviously aren't gay, they are in the predicament where they have to find females to match up with. But if both these girls are gay, why don't they just get with each other? That in itself is a pretty obvious plot hole right there.

PRETTY BASIC AND DIM-WITTED THINKING THERE,PAL.

reply

Nah he is correct in his thinking. You don’t know how gay people work do you?

reply

Do you? Bend over and I'll show you.

reply

Thanks for proving my point 😉

reply

SO?...DID YOU?...DID YOU BEND OVER AND FIND OUT?🙂

reply

Maybe the movie title is trying to suggest they are both "Bottoms"? But then again your plot hole theory seems logical.

reply

Why are you assuming the two queer people in the description are female? Could be that one of the leads is a gay guy, which easily explains why they aren't just banging each other.

Though that wouldn't explain how a gay dude is struggling to get laid? Even the ugliest of gay guys get laid like unreporductive jack rabbits.

reply

Actually, your premise would make a ton of sense. A gay guy and a lesbian girl would at least make the plot seem somewhat coherent.

But you're right that gay guys screw anything. The only way it would work for the gay guy is if he was portly or unsightly.

However, in this case, according to the trailer, the two gay leads are both females, which is why it left me scratching my head why they wouldn't just fingerbang each other?

A review I read says they’re trying to hook up with straight girls they like, which makes no sense.

All the gay girls out there and they can’t find one to stick a finger or tongue into?

Typical Hollywood.

This is a very common trope in the real life Rainbow Reich community. There is a STRONG urgency by gay men to try to "turn out" straight men, so much so that there are sub-communities that obsess over it.

Lesbians also get a real kick out of doing the same thing -- especially trying to turn the "lipstick princess" into a lesbo.

There's a perverse sense of accomplishment they revel in when it comes to trying to flip heteros.

I remember there was a thread on Quora about an older, 50-something lesbian about how she managed to get a few straight women -- one of whom was married -- to engage in lesbian sex, but nothing long term came out of it (and for obvious biological reasons).

Hollywood seems to have the same obsession as the real life gay community: constantly trying to push media to flip heteros into the gay lifestyle. Though, funnily enough, they only seem to push this kind of agitprop involving straight women.

I think there is only one major Hollywood movie where they try to push converting a straight guy into the gay lifestyle (The D Train). Otherwise it's almost always movies about lesbos converting straight women into the gay lifestyle.

reply

Because there are more men out there who want to see lesbians (hot ones anyway) onscreen than women or gay men who want to see gay guys.

reply

This is 100% the truth (hilariously there are also studies out there showing women don't like gay guys at all).

reply

Wow that legit sounds like lazy writing for a movie. The trailer looks terrible too.

reply

It's as if having sex logically follows upon establishing a fight club, which makes no sense.
