This movie had the makeup of a great tv show or sequel. Tom searches the globe looking for someone like himself, driven by his guilt, debunking frauds, chasing dreams, whilst also trying to find out more about where he himself came from.
Drama, mystery, conspiracy.
He would discover a serial killer link between murdered frauds. Their killer would be confirm Tom's wildest dream, yet fulfil his darkest nightmare.

Or you could just watch Heroes, which basically takes that plot line and expands upon it in a more interesting way.
shareHeroes was about a scientist looking for the next step of evolution and about different people discovering themselves... it's a similar world, but a very different story.
Red Lights is greatly about loneliness and hopelessness and the fight against them.
Murphy isn't looking for people like him because he believes they're out there, he's looking for them because he's terrified he may be the only one.
