Annoying preaching self-important

The first half was so promising, so interesting and then bam! that obnoxious deus ex machina ending.

What annoys me the most is that unlike most supernatural movies don't take themselves srsly, this one is actually earnestly teaching us the existence of mambo jumbo.

The whole "don't deny yourself" bull makes me rage. Being an atheist we fight our superstitious thinking, we are not robots, but we don't give in, we try to not be intellectually lazy like all you god's sheep.

At no point did I get the impression that this movie's aim was to teach the existence of "something else" any more than 'xmen'.

The majority of the movie is abused by many as confirmation bias, as if it was a piece of anti supernatural propaganda, so, when that bias is flipped it's no doubt they get angry, because it's become propaganda for the opposition.
It is none of those things.

Even if it was propaganda, it's not necessarily for the supernatural. There's no confirmation of heaven or hell, no communication with ghosts, nothing but a "something else" that could be entirely based on some rational science.

Quit with your agendas

I think it's a joke

Ummm...
You do know the entire movie is about Tom reconnecting with his true self? Silvers appearance simply heightens his subconscious need to quit denying who he is. Marges death heightens it again... And finally the fight puts him to the brink.
Tom controlled it all...just like Silver was controlling the guy in the audience. For Tom its no trick. He makes the rain stop.

Tom is not only projecting what he expects (when i hear hooves i dont think unicorns i think horses, how can we look at others if we dont know ourselves...if we cant callibrate ourselves through self knowledge) to see and hear but his subconscious self is trying to stop Toms denial and have him face himself.

Like the dream sequence. Tom is afraid to face who he is. He then projects everything on to silver. Why did you hold the card to the light? To take your mind off your glasses.
