What was that black lady about? the one who comes in front of him on road & afterwards comes from no where n spits on Tom's face?? :P What was that all about? :)

shareI don't think it was a red herring, because we are seeing her again at the end. In the flashbacks that they supposed to help us catch earlier in the movie that Tom was the psychic.
Maybe it was something like the old sick lady in that movie where Brad Pitt was playing death. She could sense things. Who knows..

Yeah... it was the old black vodoo woman trope. She obviously sensed that Tom had some special powers, but she considered it to be wicked or something. I had no problem with that scene, however. Tied in nicely to the reveal at the end.
