shareShe was a cheap red herring. :( and so was the death of Sigourney Weaver.
shareI don't think it was a red herring, because we are seeing her again at the end. In the flashbacks that they supposed to help us catch earlier in the movie that Tom was the psychic.
Maybe it was something like the old sick lady in that movie where Brad Pitt was playing death. She could sense things. Who knows..
Google is your enemy.
Yeah... it was the old black vodoo woman trope. She obviously sensed that Tom had some special powers, but she considered it to be wicked or something. I had no problem with that scene, however. Tied in nicely to the reveal at the end.
shareA lot of black people in this film were able to transport themselves across great distances in an instant I noticed. Voodoo is alive and well in the ghetto.
shareIts all Tom. Tom has been untrue to who he really is...and its coming to the surface.
The fight in the bathroom is also Tom making it happen...
Eventually Tom has nothing else to do but a final release of who he is. He clearly states the whole thing.
The guy who beat him up appears again on stage with the blonde woman, so he couldn't have been projecting it.
