Didn't anybody see the similarities to Peter Pan ??? ...Especially when Suzy is reading the book to the entire troop .....and Sam being an orphan, as were all the "Lost Boys" in Peter Pan ...

Actually, they fell out of their baby carriages out of doors, ....cradles were used inside, and the parents could have simply picked them up.
